Speaker: Scott Weinman, DVM, MBA
Dr. Weinman is originally from Minnesota . He completed his undergraduate work in Biology and Chemistry at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN . He is a 1996 Graduate of Iowa State University’s College of terinary Medicine.Following veterinary school, Dr. Weinman worked for several years in a small animal practice in
Eagle River, Alaska. During his professional career, Dr. Weinman has spent over 7 years in full-time small animal and emergency medicine practice, managed two small animal clinics, and worked in sales, marketing, and training for a human pharmaceutical company. He has also worked as a relief veterinarian in Alaska, Washington, and California. In 2006, he completed an MBA in Operations Management and Teambuilding & Leadership at Seattle University Alber’s School of Business & Economics. In his spare time, Dr. Weinman enjoys downhill skiing, kayaking, international travel, cooking & dining. He is currently a Senior Professional Services Veterinarian with Novartis Animal Health. . He lives in San Anselmo, CA with his two Siamese cats, “Abbey and Dale,” and a 2 year old Boxer named “Karen.”

Falconry is the process of hunting with trained birds of prey, which capture game for the hunting party. In veterinary medicine, there are two populations of birds of prey which are encountered, one being trained falconry birds. The other category is wildlife rehabilitation, treating sick and injured birds of prey for release, or for display or educational purposes. I'll cover both categories.

New Answers for Canine Separation Anxiety

Julie Dinnage, DVM
Dr Dinnage received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. After several years in private practice, she started Best Friends Veterinary Services Inc., which provided house calls, behavior referrals and veterinary relief services. She served as Director of Animal Protection Medicine for the MSPCA-Angell and co-founded the Association of Shelter Veterinarians. Dr. Dinnage is a member of the AVMA Animal Welfare Committee, the AAFP Feline Welfare Committee and is a board member of the National Council on Pet Population Study and Policy (NCPPSP). She previously served on the Massachusetts Rabies Advisory Committee, Massachusetts Animal Surveillance and Education Task Force, the MSPCA-Angell Clinical Studies Committee, and the Massachusetts VMA’s Steering Committee as chair of their Animal Welfare Committee.
Dr. Dinnage received the American Humane’s KC award for excellence in teaching, the Mary Mitchell Humane Award and the Association of Shelter Veterinarians Professional Achievement Award. She has been a regular guest lecturer at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and has taught an on-line course in shelter medicine and behavior at Duquesne University.
